Talking It's finally here!

Well after a long day driving to wales and back from Kent to collect my new car I now have on my drive a very nice JDM STI Hawkeye in Blue.
The car is completely standard at the moment, I found the car very nice to drive though not anywhere near as loud as other scoobys I have owned which have been a 1996 classic and a ppp type uk blob eye.
The acceleration was very linear and it pulls like train all the way to 8000rpm.
All in all I'm a very happy bunny and of course pics will follow.

Glad to hear that all went well in the end.

I only read your post about meeting up yesterday evening and with work being so hectic at the moment I couldn't have made it anyway.

It's a pity that the weather is so pants at the moment as you probably have not had a chance to stretch it's legs properly yet.

What did you think of Merthyr? Personally I think about the best thing about the place is the bypass (waits for a flaming from the inhibitants).

Well at -9c I thought it was bloody cold.
It seemed a nice quiet little village but then I am used to London and the south east which is a real **** hole....

Not the bypass CF, the best thing is the road to Brecon. About 2am on a dry summer's night.

To be clear, you want to take the ecu off my new car and fit it to your mates and then swap them back?

How risky or big a job is that?

Tbh it is a 5 minute job as the ecu is located in the passenger footwell. There is no risk involved at all mate, his car is identical to yours i am sure others will post the same comment. It will also give you a chance to hear what your car would sound like with a milltek system on it
