SUSPENSION MODIFICATIONS !!! What should i starts from ???
Hi Guys. I am planning to upgrade my suspension on my V2 STI Saloon and need advice what should I start from ?
Apart from lowering springs and front strut brace everything else is standard setup. I know that WHITELINE is Top brand so will buy their stuff.
So, what first to improve handling ???
- Front and rear drop links (poly or steel ? )
- Front and rear ARB (22 or 24 mm??)
- Anti Lift Kit
- Poly steering rack bushes
Wish to buy all that stuff at one time, but have not enough funds at the moment.

If you are short of money,you may have look for Eibach Anti-Roll Bar kit which cost around 260£(i'm not sure these are available with drop links)

Cheers for that mate. I've read somewhere that is good to start from rear ARB to improve handling. So thought that will change rear one first plus Drop Links and then front one. What do you think?

Yes,best if you upgrade rear ARB for aftermarket one like Whiteline,Eibach,Perrin etc.
And buy some solid one Droplinks(i think CDF have for sale set for 160£,here in Group buy or check APi for clearance have Powerflex one's for good money too around 30£ for front one)

And here is mine difference between 22-24 ARB
22mm rear bar produces more front end grip, more neutral handling, reduction of roll oversteer and allows driver to induce wash-out oversteer easier.
24mm rear bar produces all of the above but makes oversteer even easier.

Hi mate, it's my understanding that if you want to get LESS understeer, you stiffen the REAR of the cars, (classics anyway).
So an adjustable 22mm arb on the rear is good, but if you want to do the front too, go 24mm rear, 22mm front. HOWEVER, if you do that, DO be prepared for some noise/harshness through the suspension.
I was told that doing both the same will just put the car back to the same level of understeer.
Once the arb is sorted, go for solid droplinks all round and maybe an anti-lift kit.
THEN get a full 4-wheel alignment done.
