Noobie!
hey to all, not to sure if this is the right place to be posting this, but i just thought i'd say hello to everyone.
Name is Dave, 25 and currently driving an Astra SRi-Turbo Mk4 which i'm looking to sell in the new year and buy a Scooby. Always liked Scoobies but don't know much about them, so thought i'd join up to do some research and so on.
My Astra is currently running just shy of 300bhp with quite a few mods. I know quite a bit about modding cars, been in the car scene for the last few years mainly with vauxhalls.

Most people have tried them, Some like them and for some the novelty wears off after a while, I`ve had 4 a Forge, Perrin, HKS and Blitz but gone back to the standard recirc valve as i find the car responds way better than with the aftermarket ones, I prefer performance and driveability over noise but it`s each to their own, Welcome by the way, Gaz.

I think I want one for the sake of having one, experienced it, then see from there. The Forge is only £130 and will probably resell for around half so not too much of an exspensive trial!

cheers for the comments guys, didn't expect so many to be honest!
300 through the front wheels is erm....... well is parked up and i'm using the family Galaxy instead, lol. I live in Bolton, but based in Germany, and its a legal requirement to have snow tyres fitted this year, the Astra doesn't have them yet, but the Galaxy does.
As for which Scooby i'm after, i've always wanted the STi, but know i can't afford one, so i'd settle for a WRX, as said i'm not to up on any of them, i'd like a RA but i'm lazy and don't want manual windows, lol.
as for the chav valve, i thought it was a legal requirement on a scooby?!

the standard valve the car comes with doesnt give you the big hiss you get when you buy an after market dump valve, he means keep the standard one on the car. As for sti that depends on your budget the prices of these cars have dropped alot lately and also if you want newage or classic.

lol, sorry i don't mean to sound rude, but i know that, check out the Collins DV in the 2nd picture of my bay.
I don't want a bugeye (the are the devil and should burn), and don't think i can afford a hawkeye, i've always wanted a Classic on a 2000 plate, not sure why, just have. And its gotta have lowish miles and at least 260bhp.

Your budget will be the biggest decider, if you have say 7k then I would be looking at a new age STI with lowish miles and full history, these can quite happily run 400bhp with a few mods and have the best internals/mechanicals of any previous impreza, but no doubt your BL postcode will be a killer

postcode is no issue mate, based in Germany, so using German Insurance company, cheap as chips :-)
the link to that white sti, is pretty much exactly what i want!
blue would be better, but i love it in white.
