The good: Nice guys, did a good job of my down pipe, car ran well engine wise after having work done and agreed on a lower than they demanded price, mostly due to below.
The bad: To get to them involved some off roading as the place is an old farm, I travelled specially from Cambridge and expected a reasonable car to get me to inlaws in Yorkshire, I got the guys old Rover that not only had a no door handles but a clutch that died on me on a very dangerous road in the middle of the night.
They didnt notice, or atleast didnt inform me, that my back box was rubbing my rear axle, even though they installed an anti-roll bar next to it! the rubbing wasnt due to them I dont think as the pipe was nearly worn through when a local garage told me about it.
They also replaced my suspension with a lowering kit, my tyres were rubbing as the original suspension had broke, why they fitted a lowering kit I dont know!, it wasnt what I wanted, and Im now having further car problems due to it.
If you want a track car, use them, they do some great track cars. If you want everyday stuff doing then go to a trusted garage. From now I'll be using Cambridge performace tyres, one of the mechanics has had three scoobys and knows his stuff( hes the guy that saved me having to get a new back box and he sorted the rubbing out for free! ), they have great customer care and very low prices for the standard of work too.

car won't go anywhere else but clinic, in fact its going up there tomorrow lol. Top bunch of lads,
be carefull what is included and isn't, even in the 'all inclusive' places. eg timing belt tensioner, may need changing and may not be included in any of the prices.

Here's the Scoobyclinic price list.

I've used them for the past five years with excellent service on my classic Impreza and now with my Skyline. They are based on a farm and the road to them has been re surfaced recently and is loads better.

haha, there do tend to be a few poeple with opinions about clinic lol
i still remember that thread where bloke came on complaining about having to wait 45mins before he gave up and went home, you know the one with the new delorian A4 that makes 45 mins seem like 3 mins on security fottage lol

You pick what you feel comfortable with.
Scoobyclinic - not been there so won't comment.
Scoobyworld - have been there, and can't fault them at all, in fact booked in early new year for some upgrades.
At the end of the day it's your car, and go where you get the quality of service and peace of mind that you want.
Personaly, I put quite a few things higher up the list than price, when it comes to my car eg I can get tyres for £80, but they will perform like £80 tyres, and I'd rather get something with a good reputation and good quality, and afraid that means at the end of the day a bit more money.

Cant fault scoobyclinic, they rebuilt my RA turned it into a 2.1ltr too
Theres a guy who uses them exclusively, and travels from Devon iirc ! Think he has one of SC's first 450 conversions on his type-r.
Ive heard bad stories about some of the best tuners on here, i dont think you can avoid unhappy customers no matter how good a company is. Just stick to using someone you feel you can trust, you can defo trust SC, and thats convenient to where you live.
For me, Scoobyclinic

Scoobyclinic are great and I've travelled 200 miles each way for some stuff. That said, for the sort of thing you need doing you could try and find a local garage who has been working of Subaru's for a while. Because of their 'agricultural' heritage, you find loads of village garages who can be more than trusted with servicing, belts, etc and they are usually pretty fair on pricing. To be fair, I've never taken any of my 9 scoobs to a dealer - generally their mechanics are far less experienced than the local ag mechanic who had his head under the bonnet of a flat four subaru for 30 years or so!
