I'm surprised by how well the UK300 holds its value. Where normal bug WRXs are only just a little higher in value than old UK "classics". The UK300 seems to have a couple of grand over its WRX cousin - for nothing more than seats, lights and spoiler.
Although I guess this could also be said for Prodrive Bug STIs. They command a few grand over vanilla bug STIs. Prodrives "might" become classics but they aren't much loved even now. I prefer Prodrive bugs to blobs.

Rare as rocking horse poo though, you cant import them any more, limited production run, 320ps from the factory (it was the first subaru to break the 280ps barrier), tweaked nicely by STI, titanium exhaust muffler (as the japs call it, backbox to the rest of us lol), grooved brake discs, really nice Ray's alloys, lightweight as it was based on the 2002 Spec C, VF34 single scroll turbocharger (roller bearing), front mounted oil cooler, fantastic out of the box car.

And a pic of the car after I'd had it professionally detailed and the wheels refurbed.

Sorry to say that the UK300 cannot hold a candle to the S202, but I do believe that Bugeye's are very under-rated cars and once you get used to the looks of the front end they are a very good car. As for the WRC Bugeye they are the just car ****.
