Black wheels. Glos or matt?
Happy new year to all. My 2003 wrx is having a wheel spray, (following an accident). I'm going for black; so what's the consensus amongst you guys? Gloss or matt?
Cheers all.

Matt (or satin black) will show up the brake dust less as they won't lose their sheen. It also depends on the colour of the car though, against a gloss black car satin won't look too hot, but for most other colours I would prefer satin

I've always preferred Matt or satin black however if you have a particularly detailed design or a high number of spokes I'd go for gloss.

Matt is hard to achieve with a long lasting finish
Lacquered powdercoating is best and will always be gloss

Nice wheels 53. What are they?
Also, are met black and anthracite two entirely different colours?

I'd say go for satin black. Gloss black tends to highlight dirty tyres whereas satin does not

Metallic black is just that, anthracite is dark grey, like mine as pictured

Satin looks good if you can find someone to do a good job
It's a fine balance between a good satin finish and a poor gloss finish.
I have SpecD STi wheels in Black gloss also, big fan of black as they get dirty and don't really show it. People are right to mention the dirty tyres, but if you wash your wheels and tyres when necessary with Megs degreaser they come up like new tyres anyway
FTW
