Default my subaru 1996

i have a 2.0 subaru impreza sport 1996 non turbo, does anyone know if the 2.0 turbo engine from a 1998 model will fit in mine, and do i have to change the driveshafts

You'll be better to sell the Sport & buy a Turbo fella as a lot needs changing.

  • Engine will need changing (obviously)
  • Ancillaries will need changing to match
  • Will need different exhaust
  • Will need stronger gearbox
  • Will need stronger clutch/flywheel
  • Will need bigger brakes all round to cope with extra power
Possibly more that I've forgotton...


Is it really worth it for the sake of selling your n/a and buying a Turbo for a couple grand??
