Default Matte black Vinyl wrap or Paint????

Has anyone seen a matte black vynil wrap on a scooby?

Ever considered using it, or painting it matt black?

yep seen it looks good, Total Impreza did a bugeye and I have also seen a classic partly done by one for the guys at our club. Take a look at the gallery at http://www.nwcscoobyclub.co.uk/ think there might be a few pics.

I've seen both wraps, and satin black paint - neither on a scoob, but the difference between paint and wrap is like night and day. I did consider it for mine (and still am a little) but it would be painted and not wrapped if I did

You're right, it's not so helpful when it's not working

Just looks right, they are "combat machines" so it seems appropriate!

Tell me though - with this wrapping lark, what happens if you get a stone chip or dent from someones door?

Don't you also have to use some sort of specialist cleaner?

I'm thinking of wrapping mine, I've got samples of the 3M wraps at home and they do look very good, especially the metallics!

Surely a stone chip/dent wouldn't affect the wrap that much, unless it tore a hole in.

You'd still get the dent but protect the paint

My vinyl has a 5 year guarantee against rips or tears. If you get a dent like a car park ding then as long as there is no rips it can be repaired the same as normal. There is a certain amount of stretch in the vinyl.

We use and are trained, approved installers of the same 3M vinyl that ford used to wrap the RS500. The finish is very good, and if you take a look at our website or facebook page you can see some pictures of our own demo MY03 STi which is wrapped in the Matt black.

The film is no different/easier/harder to wash that a normal paint job, and stands up very well against those annoying motorway stone chips that are so annoying on regular paintwork.

We are also currently running a FREE to enter prize draw to win a full vehicle wrap. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Updates and news are posted on our facebook page.
