You can pull the codes off your MY99 for nothing, just google "how to read subaru fault codes", readers are a waste of money tbh, your better off with a laptop and software.

Phil, you can gather more info from a VAG lead and using your laptop as and when you have a issue, the scan gauge is a bit like a set of gauges and a code reader, from what I can see the SG unit wouldnt be able to give you a specific reading from the maf or the 02 sensors, which is more useful when identifying a faulty sensor imo

I purchased Ecutek Deltadash from Bob Rawle when I had my last mapping session, it's not cheap when compared to the generic OBDII systems out there.
The software is very good and I think it's well worth the money and you get free updates and support as well.
Now I'll just wait to be flamed by the users of Romraider.

I bought a cheap VAG COM lead of ebay for £8.39, and coupled with free software from ecuExplorer (or RomRaider) it gives better readings than all of the generic code readers.
