Ok so my friends uk turbo has a VF28 with the STI ecu to run with the turbo, it had been running fine for a good month and a half when suddenly the car lost boost, after he stopped running round in panic, we disconnected the small vacuum pipe that connects to the actuator to see if the car would boost, tried it down the road, it boosted hard, we shut off IMMEDIATLY to prevent engine damage, so with that said am I right in thinking that this is a faulty actuator and needs replacing???
