dont bother with anti lag.

prob worth the switch to simtek though to do away with maf, realy depends what your long term plans are. if your thinking of going big power i'd look at a syvecs myself, more expensive than the simtek but more capable, prob a bit ott for just a normal lightly tuned car.

I'm looking to go 2.1 at somepoint this year but if the ecu is in the k region I'll leave that till the build time

Darc, buy an ECU with knock correction, like your OE ECU has; Hyrda, Syvecs or Motec.

just because some have nock correction doens't mean its any good, to active and you loose power for no reason, to un-rective and it go's bang.

if your going build later then i'd stay as is for now.

knock correction rather than just detection provides an extra level of defense agaist failure and give peace of mind...just like the OE ECU.

You want to save money on a cheaper type that doesn’t then fair play...however most people don't seem to know the difference.
