Guys need abit of info, looking to mod the car this year sometime, My cars std sti uk spec ppp model, dyno'd 290bhp, obvisously looking for more power, what would i need i.e parts and how much i'm expected to spend?
Any ideas or routes that you've guys have taken to mods yours, please let me know?

Also if i don't mod at all, and just have a std remap done how much would that be and what figures of bhp could i get?

Turbo (MD321H/T), injectors, 3" exhaust with de-cat, re-map, uprated panel filter.
You might need a 3 port boost solenoid aswell, and maybe GT spec headers

TD05 20G turbo £800 or £500 if you can exchange it.
Walbro Fuel pump £90
550cc Injectors £300-£400
Front Mount really as you be maxing out you top mount, any thing from £300 -£1000
"3 stright through exhaust again £350 - £1000
Induction Kit, K&N are quite good, £300
Mapping £500- £600

You will have fitting on top of all this mind.

400 on a newage can be done easy with the right mapper and the right modifications.

Just depends on your budget mate really?
Also a new clutch depending your driving style and how many 000's on the clock you have.

TMIC should be OK but giving a choice to do it again would go FMIC.
Injectors on 550 pinks but will need a uprated FPR
MD321T or H
Remove Air Box as above. CIAK or induction kit (depends on it you go FMIC)
Exhaust 3" but will get away with a GOOD Sports cat.

Brake Pads. Your have extra power so will need extra braking power.

Why not save yourself some dosh and buy my EcuTek ECU? lol Just need keys matching and pay the extra mapping fee etc? Saving you £250.00 (I think?) Talk Ta Me!!

Why is that Simon, are the 2005 models slightly different engine wise as well as the wider track etc than the earlier models?

Thanks

I suspect it is cam / head related, but not stripped both to be sure.

He turbo is also different but have done 05 with 03 turbo and still makes good power.
Vf34 v vf35 etc.

When I bought my 2003 blob it was running 284bhp, after a remap at Scoobyclinic it`s now 340bhp 328 lbs/ft torque. Only `mod` I`m using is a Green panel filter ;-)

You don't need 3" exhaust, 2.5" decat or sports cat will do. I've got 500 bhp with 2.5" decat, centre resonator and prodrive back box. I believe Andy forrest has more than 500bhp on his track car with a 2.5" exhaust

What M/Y?
Turbo back exhaust with 3" open neck D/P, ported headers and matched uppipe, remap and you have 340 bhp +/- subject to year and conditiona and parts chosen. Don't forget a fuel pump.
TD05 18G or VF34 might see 360 bhp
After that you need injectors and bigger turbo so it is more expensive.
20G turbo or MD321H and you are 380-390.
An MD 321T is a 440+ bhp turbo if it is any good so a bit out of your league and a lot more expense. At that level look at the SC46.

when i got the car, within a few weeks of driving abit hard, the clutch packed up, so i got Exedy Uprated Organic Racing Clutch Kit - Pink Box - Anti-Judder - 6 Speed clutch and new an oem flywheel, would that support 400bhp? Also don't want spend too much budget was around 2-3k, if i could spend less would be much better, however the remap maybe a better option, to maybe get 350bhpish, and then go for more! I don't want to spend ott money on the car, my mates got a mk1 GTO full engine rebuild DR650 turbos, rbs carbon clutch, and loads of other mods that i cant remember, spent around 5 grand and is running 500bhp 490lbs of torque. So need to Scooby to match in abit of power, however at the moment it pisses all over my scooby

regards

Mapped one yesterday.

2005 UK Sti, front mount, wrapped RCM headers, injectors (650cc for headroom), SC40 Billet turbo, Milltek sportcat and system, induction kit, mapped on Ecutek to run 1.6 bar peak and 1.3 bar top end.
It made 411bhp and 375lbft on VPower and lost very little in terms of response when compared to the stock turbo.
You'll find it very hard to beat for value for money.

You'll not have to lighten yours! As the rust will have already made it suitably lighter lol

I don't see much of a problem making those figures on a 2004 car. There are always subtle differences between cars, but no reason you shouldn't get there or thereabouts.
Carried out another MY05 package finished on Friday, 750cc injectors and an SC46 on this one and it made 446bhp and 400lbft at a flat 1.55 bar boost.
The spool was amazing, making full boost by as little as 3100rpm on the road.
Stopped at that level due to the stock ecu, suspect with a PNP ecu and a meth map 500bhp could be achieved.

Even with an FPR, no chance you are making 395bhp with 440cc injectors

here is some pics when assemberling the fuel system, must admit 440cc are not ideal for this power but is possible.

also this graph was from yesterday

No S**T Sherlock, they must be at 100% duty from 5000rpm on. My advice would be not to go over 500rpm again till you get some 740cc injectors in it.
In my experience 440cc injectors are good for 320-340bhp on our rollers and as 20% Meth is going to require 10% more fuel, you'll max them even earlier.
