Hi guys,

Well it's time for the hatches 6 month oil change, in the past have only used an OE filter as car was under warranty, now that has passed what do you recommend?

No main dealers near me so would be an hour round trip to get a Subaru one so easier if I can go mail order etc, been looking and k&n look good, or can u just grab one from Halfords?

HKS HYBRID SPORTS OIL FILTER are good mate

 

K&N are great filters. the standard ones are just as good but I'm still a little unsure of the new blue ones, as we've had two cases were the seal has blown out.

 

always used blueprint filters there excellent in my opinion

 

Cheers Rob, K&N it is then, used to just get what I could at the time but a little proctective on the hatches engine!!!

I'm just using the last of the std Black genuine subaru filters in the stores at work, Once they've gone it will be K&N ones all the way

 

Ive always used subarus own filters but ive never used these new blue ones and from what I hear ill stay well clear.

 

Im using the new blue ones. been fine no problem, and theyre what you will get if you were to have your car serviced at any subaru main dealer so dont worry - i know plenty of other people on here that are using them without any problem too. Got mine from scoobynet including new sump washer.

 

i always use the blueprint ones on mine,never had a problem so far.
