Default RATS anyone !!!!!

After starting the car for the first time in 7 weeks i was left with many many warning lights on. after a quick inspection under the lid it was plainly obvious the some fuc**ng rats have decided to take ou residence in my engine bay. In the process of building there two nests theyve chewed through many wires.
After rejoining the obvious ones most of the lights went out except the eml. (oh dear). So a 20min journey to the garage and what a ****i** surprise to all when i got there.......An onfire engine bay.. what the little ****s had done is build a third nest on top of the exhaust headers and all had ignited, luckily for me we had extinguishers and water at hand.
Just thought id share this with you all...........So you Have been WARNED. KILL THE LITTLE VERMINS.

Jeez, that's bad. Where do you live?

Your local council may come out and set traps or put poison down in cat/dog friendly containers.

Blimey - this happened to me last year - on the way to work and the alternator belt snapped - recovery took one look under the bonnet and pointed out a pile of nuts and empty husks! The little critters had partially chewed through the belt and it snapped once on the move. Luckily it wasn't the scoob but my daily shed - a 1997 Escort. Hope you get it sorted - and get down the Blue Cross for a cat!

We used to have that trouble years ago, with cars left in the yard next to a railway tunnel entrance, the only good thing about rats there was, when we used to bring horrific accident damaged vehicles in full of blood & gore, the rats would clean them out as if they had been valeted.
