UPPIPE BOLTS SEIZED!!!!!
Hi guys, im in the process of removing my uppipe from my 96 typr ra,
exhaust manifold is off no probs but im struggling with the uppipe to turbo
bolts/studs. The 2 studs at the back are seized solid, ive double nutted
the studs to try and wind them out but no joy!! Soaked them in wd40/
didnt work!!, tried some freeze release stuff, didnt work!! Now i resorted
to heat, but guess what. . . it didnt work!!!
Has anyone had similar problems or got any bright ideas of what i can do before i get the sledge hammer out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Many thanx a subaru owner with sore hands, tim.

Tim - 94wrx has the answer.....
I use plus gas all the time at work (them things under the wings on planes), and it deals with stuff that has been really hot so hopefully should shift the bolts. u do need to give a good soak sometimes. Overnight is normally great, soak again in the morning and start to attempt to split about coffee time lol.....
Good luck - bin the WD40 only good for water dispersal :-)

SEIZED UPPIPE BOLTS
Trouble is id hav to cut the stud off top and bottom, then drill it out and retap the turbo flange and uppipe flange as both are threaded. plus their is 3 to deal with. Gonna get my big set of gas bottles out 2moro and get some heat into the little *******!!!

The studs for the up-pipe all screw into the up-pipe. there is no thread on the turbo up-pipe flange. the studs just go through the holes with nuts on top. so cut the nuts off the top and the up-pipe will fall off
