Deal with the original buyer first.

Actually i would still sent them to him, it's then down to him to get them to the new owner and also you are covered by a proof of delivery

Refund his payment and get the other guy to pay you either via paypal or cash on collection, No comebacks then imo.

Hmmm

It sounds like the original buyer paid, say £100 for themyou/he were happy.
he has now sold them probably to the value of a bit more.

Easiest,if the comeback is what your woried about.

refund the original guy the money
the original guy paypals the new buyer the £100 (for the parts)
you/the new buyer exchange money for wheels

still messy tho

Then tell him bollocks and that you will only send them to him and nothing else. At the end of the day he has to understand that you are only covering your own back here!

The problem is that paypal gives very little protection. As the buyer is organising the courier then it should really be their responsibility so as soon as the goods are collected then that is that, however he could still claim that the item was not as described and claim back on that. I dont trust paypal in the slightest, so I would explain that due to changing the terms of the agreement you will refund him and he needs to pay via Gift. Then you should be ok.

why not ask on paypal help/info,

if he arranges his own courier to collect then he can arrange to deliver it to wherever he likes.thats not ure problem as he sorted the delivery out himself.

it takes 3 working days to withdraw money from paypal to bank account so u could withdraw most of it(leave £5) and they wont stop it,

well thanks for yr imput guys i understand

but im the guy that bought the wheels in the first place paid for them via paypal not by choice as have been done over before by a seller

i have only passed wheels on to someone due to being layed off and not at a profit at a loss and am still willing to get a courier to collect so they can be traced

it is disapointing that there are people out there scamming people after getting goods what has this world come to i guess it pickpockets of the 21st century
