Bill to your local council, I trust?

I hit an awful one on the A614 today, bounced the whole car sideways. Just bl**dy dangerous. Luckily NOT in the Scoob.

Or....thinking about it, if they are get a little old, i would change both, as when one fails the other wont be far behind....if relatively new, one it is!

Contact your council, take pics etc of the pot hole, they WILL pay some of it, same as they do if your tyre gets buggered.

council should pay out, if you can prove it was the pot hole that did it. mate of mine got a cracked alloy from hitting a pot hole. he hit it, stopped immediately, and saw the crack. he called the police, and they came out, saw the pot hole, and actually coned it off it was so bad!! after taking a few photos of that, the council didnt have a leg to stand on...

made my mate wonder why he pays £400 a year road tax...

Most springs fail due to salty roads; pitting the steel creating a fracture initiation point and then the bumpy roads just finish them off.

One pothole will not break a spring...if one pothole was enough to break a spring in good condition, you'd also have a bent strut, arm, wheel, and knackered ball joints.

Sorry, but one pothole does not break a spring. On the other hand ...not washing off the salt every week in winter combined with lots of potholes all day every day, will.
