Default STI Clutch

My03 STI PPP

Best place to get a standard clutch to replace mine as its slipping , also anyone know of a good place to get it fitted I'm based in Berkshire

If you buy standard Subaru try and get the same clutch as fitted to the Hawkeye, it's supposed to be good for 450/450

get a uprated exedy pink one as you dont want to replace it again and the cost is hardly anything compared to refitting another clutch

It doesn't have to be Subaru just a replacement, I'm not looking for an uprated clutch as I'm not modding the car further, car has ppp and thats more than enough for me, Im a sunday drive the wrong side of 40. Anyone have a website or link just a clutch to replace what the car came with.

Most people will say just fit an up-rated clutch as in many cases the price of that fitted at an independent compared to a Subaru clutch fitted at a main dealer is cheaper. If you're not fussed on the make and just want a standard clutch then there are lots to choose from, have a look at the main Subaru parts companies. Most have links on the site.

I've got no idea how good the Pink Box clutch is, but I have been told it can still judder so worth investigating before fitting.

Thanks for replies car has done just over 80k. It slips when you hit 3000 revs and the turbo kicks in, I've seen others on here had the same problem and my mechanic has diagnosed it.

My 06 STi Spec D is still on its original clutch at 116,000 miles

Likely to have a new one soon though.

Hi mate i've got the exedy pink box clutch and it still judders at times, its not bad, asit grips wells its dones over 1500 miles maybe takes alot longer to bear in or maybe that the ways its gonna be, however if you ain't looking modified then stick with a standard clutch!

Thanks for confirming mate. I was advised to not fit the Pink Box clutch and instead either Helix or Subrau. I went for the Hawkeye clutch as several ver well informed people told me it will handle 450/450.
