Anybody got the latest copy of EVO yet?

Check out the review of the EVO vs Skyrine vs Porker vs Bee Em. Then take a look at the chart at the back. Take a close look at the BM's acceleration times around the 70 and 80mph mark.Spot any perculiarities?

Anybody else impressed? I am. From standing start:

Damn - that's one TENTH of a second to get from 70 to 80 mph. Unbelievable overtaking power - what a car...

Are you sure the test isn't in Top Gear mag?
Haven't seen this months Evo yet though, maybe they have exactly the same test! Although I would be surprised if they could get the same loopy anomalies as TG!

That's because it's the new Top Gear (October 99) - M5 v Evo 6 v GT3 v R-34.

Oh, and it's 6.9 for 0 to 70mph and 7.0 secs 0 to 80mph.

Maybe it is relevant to Scoobies in that most of us would aspire to owning one of the four. Personally I'd go for a GT3. AND an M5.

Anyway, so that we don't all have to donate to the BBC's coffers...

Yesterday was a bad day.

Top Gear it was. Not EVO.

0-60 & 0-70 were the timings not 70 & 80.

6.9secs and 7.0secs were the timings. Not 7.9 & 8.0.

But the basic premis of the BM doing a ten mph chunk in only one tenth of a sec still (tenuously) stands Even if it is an obvious t(r)ypo in the mag.

I wish I could get an Impreza to do 60-70mph in 1 tenth...
