Default engine type

what does it mean by engine type in relation to the code, 2 different cars, same engine?

model GC8C4ED engine type EJ20G DW5HE transmission TY752VB4AA 275ps

model GC8C48D engine type EJ20G DW5HE transmission TY752VB4AA 260ps

does any one know how to decipher the option/trim codes?

Yup, can answer this one without looking

Car 1 is a wrx 260ps, 95/96 model year
car 2 is an STI 275ps, version 2, MY96
(though the codes you have are mixed around)

Tony
