Hi all need some help, had an issue with my uk2000 99 turbo impreza engine a few weeks ago, removed engine to find an issue with one of the cam wheels. Fixed the issue and have just put engine back into car. On start up runs fine, no probelms and revs fine. Issue comes about when driving, turbo boosts fine at first but when reaching around 2500 rpm judders violently until around 4000 then loose all boost presssure. If I drive it below 2500 rpm it drives perfectly. Thought i'd missed a pipe when installing engine but have been thru all pipes and connections all seems fine. Not sure what the problem is, would have said it was something i've missed but it did have a tendancy to surge slightly before I removed the engine, so weather something was on the way out before I removed the engine I do not know. Anyone with any ideas?

Ok removed all pipes today and gave them a thorough clean thru, but still the same problem, funny thing is that is rev's and boosts properly when at stand still, but only when driving do I get the problem, was thinking the fuel pressure regulator but have know way of testing it, really running out of ideas as drives pefect up till 2500 rpm, might just have to take it to subaru.

is it violent off then back on, could be coil packs on the way out. mine had that problem, not cheap to replace, need to get genuine not a copy
