I am going to be coming over to the UK a week on Friday and will be bringing the Scooby to stretch its legs a little.. (since the speed limit here is 35mph)..

Just wondering if there is much to see or do in Surrey as thats where i will be??

The monthly meet is this weekend

 

Shame I'm over next weekend..

I am over for the British Air Gun Championships so will be taking the car out in the evenings so if you see a Scooby with black and silver reg plates it will be me..

 

Well... I won't be using surreyscoobies... Aparently my registration at Surrey Scoobies did not meet their membership requirements...

Hello mate, I am a user on surreyscoobies and have been for the past 5/6 years. One of if not the best forum out there.

The reason why a lot of new members have been rejected lately is we have had a lot of recent spamming. Hence why in the last few weeks the login process has changed.

Also some email acounts like on Hotmail,Yahoo and gmail etc cannot be used now on the basis of protection. So if you have this account you need to use another email account etc.

What has happened is down to the strict process in place at the moment to stop spammers getting through.

What normally catches people out is the text that no one seems to read on the registration page:

"Please enter a valid email address for yourself. Please note Hotmail, Yahoo & Gmail addresses are not accepted."

I have highlighted the important part !

Since the majority of spammers these days come from the above email providers we usually reject them out of hand.
We will also reject any registrations from 'mobile' users and those who's IP addresses will not resolve correctly.
Any user names that don't scan right, or look like suppliers, or contain offensive words, or are blacklisted - the usual spam rules - will be binned.

So, how does your 'friend' get round this...?
Simple, use the 'contact form' letting us know who they are, what they drive, where they are etc and then we'll let them through the next time before they get binned. The rejection email should also have details of how to get in contact.

Ahh that is why I had problems when on my 1st attempt as I have a hotmail account, but they let me though on the 2nd attempt.

 

Where are you shooting ?

 

I will give it another go then see if it works second time round for me too!!..
