Long Journey
I have done 400 miles in two journeys his week in the wrx, although the engine was sweet as a nut although it needs a service, it isn't built for comfort I am stiff as a board the seats are **** after a 100 miles.
I had a nightmare getting back from Watford tonight taking 5 hours due to a Lexus have a bad crash on the M6 there was 4 fire trucks and more police along with ambulance even though I sat stationary for half hour I hope the person was ok.
It returned an average of 34.4 mpg in which I was made up but I was in no rush on the way there on Tuesday and did 65-70 mph all the way.
Does anyone use their car for more than a 50mile commute and why? lol.
A nice comfy torque car is what is needed.

I work from home mostly but when I do go into the office it's a 100 mile round trip. I find the car more than comfortable enough for this length of journey

I used to struggle with lower back pain in my old WRX, and it was without a doubt the seats. Any journey more than around 45 mins was uncomfortable for me. Have an Sti now, and have no issue at all as the seats have better lumbar support.
IMO.

I've done Limoges and back several times in mine, usually carrying quite a weight TO Limoges and lots of wine/beer coming back.
I don't have problems with the seats, they are WAY more comfortable than those in the Xantia, they are STi6.
Best mpg I've had was 30. It's usually between 25-28 on a long run.

I used to go skydiving every weekend at Bad Lippspringe so not a million miles from Paderborn. The pubs at Sennelager were 'interesting' depending on what mob were in town

I'd say thats about right if doing under 70 on a motorway as I have averaged similar in my 03 WRX. Only problem is it doesnt happen that often!
