*THE END IS NEAR* but when exactly????
#1
I'm coming to the end of the longest 28 days of my life!!!
I was disqualified from driving on Monday 18th March at 2.30pm
But does anyone know exactly when I'm legally allowed to drive again - I don't want to wait a second longer than I have to!!!
There is nothing on any of the paperwork from the court other than stating 28 days. Can I drive to work on Monday morning or should I wait til Monday afternoon?? Or should I take the advice of more cautious mates and wait till Tuesday ????

WATCH OUT!
You have to apply for your driving licence and actually have received it before you can legally drive again
Apply now in order not to be disappointed. This happened to me & I got fined for not having a driving licence
28 days from conviction - drive on the 29th - that is days not callendar.

Lizzy,
I think (but I'm not at work so can't check as easily) that if you are banned for less than 56 days, you should not need to renew your licence. Sounds like you have though!
You are able to drive the day after the expiry of your disqualification so if you were banned on Monday 18 March, day 1 of the 28 would be Tuesday 19, day 28 would be Monday 15 April so it's safe to drive Tuesday 16 April, not before.

Floyd, my insurance is due for renewal in three weeks time but, errr, haven't actually told them about the ban yet! Should I have done??
But its not just this thats going to make a difference - its the claims for the stolen M3 plus another claim for an accident I had last June!! (very bad year!!!)
So I'm going from having full NCD and NO points, to probably no NCD and a ban! I'm dreading what its going to cost me now!!!
