Default Is this a Prodrive sports cat???

Hi, was looking through ebay and came across the following item. To me it just looks like your standard subaru 2nd cat pipe or maybe even the prodrive decat pipe with the heatshield over it.

What are your thought's. I contacted the seller and he gave me a speal about him being a breaker for x amount of years bla bla bla and was adamant it's an actual sports cat and not a decat pipe

I'm not 100% sure so thought I'd ask on here. And no I'm not intending on buying it I was just curious.

NO its not a Prodrive sports cat, The only cat Prodrive do went on the down pipe of which this is not, BUT it could be the 2nd cat which has been removed but not the heat shield (cat bypass)

iirc prodrive remove the second cat on the dowpipe for a wrx and for the sti they also put a sports cat in place of the one at the top of the downpipe. so a prodrive sports cat should have one bulge half way down and then nothing but a straight pipe to the end of the downpipe.

Exactly what I thought because I bought and fitted a prodrive sports cat to mine and I knew they remove the second pipe and replace it with a decat pipe then put the heat shield back over the top.
Mine looks exactly like that one in the link.

You should all send him a message telling him, I'm sure he'd appreciate it lol

I am pleased this is a pro drive sports cat as I bought it!

I am just contemplating when to fit it........as I am still saving for a Forest re-map.
