Default Clutch options for 450/450ft lbs

My Carbon pro spec twin plate has given up on me so i am hunting for a decent clutch that can support the above.

Ideally i want a supply & fit while i wait. So far i have had a quote for almost 1k, which is abit too much for me at present.

I have been recommended to go for the ACT by a friend?

Many thanks

The only place i can purchase the ACT from is Ebay USA as im assuming no one sells them here in the UK.

Even saying that i have heard the ACT kits on ebay sometimes dont come with the original pressure plates?

How much does the ACT twin plate come in at?

If you already have a twin plate, then just buy a rebuild kit with new plates?

What sort of cost are involved in this procedure & how easy would it be for me to get hold of the kit? Most importantly isit worth it as i dont want it to fail straight after.

I went Exedy twin from Lateral, had the same in my RA and that lasted over 3 years of drag racing

In the current car the torque has always been over 467 upto 505 and has run on the strip over 40 times

No idea, it was a heavy duty pressure plate and a 6 puck clutch rated to 730lbs, I would say mine was running 570bhp and I never had a problem even on a full bore launch

I like it it but I need a mate to help me press the clutch pedal down

The 6 puck clutches are fine for normal driving and are a lighter pedal than my Carbonetic but you have to rev them a little more for pulling away or they will drop revs quickly. Once moving even slowly I can't fault them.

Out of interest if i changed the clutch fluid and bleed the system would this make any improvements to the clutch? Or even adjusting it.

4th, 5th & 6th gears are fine with no slip at all. Also i can not smell anything.

A few of my evo mates have mentioned it may just be fluid burn?
