After this thread (https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...i-welding.html ) I've now sourced myself a second hand bonnet, and have my old one in the shed taking up room.

Is there anything I can do with it other than taking it to the tip?? Can't imagine the scrap value is very high and the tear is pretty hard to fix.

 

If it is alloy, I'd ring round a few scrap dealers and weigh it in. So long as you don't have to travel miles, you might get a few £££.
