http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...ht_2403wt_1025

As the title says, has anyone on here brought one of these from this buyer??

their feedback looks really good, but 300 for a TD05-20G

Cheap low quality copy?

Here's one from a respected vendor

http://www.cdfracing.co.uk/product_i...9742a3b38e722a

You get what you pay for, I'd say

Don't waste money on this turbo,if will last few months you will be lucky guy."Genuine TD05" turbo and eBay this two things don't work, out there are lots of Chinese copies/fakes/knock off which seems doesn't work or work but not make power which may make, pay once and later you will pay lot more.

gd stuff, i had to do all this on my hawkeye wrx.

are u just mapping the original ecu, i did and also got lauch control ,it will bring u plenty of smiles lol

im now running 355bhp, either the vf30,35,43 are really good, and will get around340-360bhp i have the vf43 on mine,
it comes on the 07 sti's and is an updated version of the 39

also consider brakes,

when i had my 4pots i had braketech discs and mintex 1144 pads braided lines,5.1dot fluid and its was superb at stopping.(aztec performance)

went to front brembos, with discs and fast road pads from ian godney, and above lines/fluid, i thought it was worse than the 4pot set tbh, i then put in the newblustuff pads, OMG, talk about stopping, superb and highly recommend both set ups,

u dont need to worry about injectors as the 2,5 has the sti pinks as standard

hope this helps a bit

cheers tom

One way of finding out the quality is by asking if there is a warrenty with it. Does seem far too cheap though

Could get ~350bhp from a 18g. Might save you a few quid.

A decent second hand 20G is worth £400 so a new one for £300 is a no go. I've got a proper 20G on mine and that made 382bhp on a 2LT engine.
You get what you pay for. Andy forests 20G's are your best bet.

tom,

i forgot to add to that list earlier, drilled and grooved black diamond discs with pads and braided lines are also sitting waiting to go on.

had a look at vf43s but they dont seem to come around much. theres one on here at minute for sale from a dude in romania, but not sure on that one.

vf30 on the 2.5?

Cheers for everyone elses comments, i'll be staying away from that turbo on ebay..

right now to find a decent 2nd hand turbo for around 350-400 quid.. this will only be on the car for a while untill i have more funds for a gearbox conversion and stronger internals

At your predicted level, ie 350, on Newage 5 speed, you should be fine (unless you abuse it of course)

the gearbox is fine at 350 ,its when u get nearer the 400 its a danger!!

i use mine everyday and i dont track mine but like the odd launch here and there,

and with runnning 355bhp its the best of both words, i would like a 6spd set up but once i get more cash together.

once u get it on and mapped its going to be a monster

I have a 20g Greersport Racing Turbo for sale soon if you are interested, It made 360/400 by Andy F on only 1.4 bar.

The Turbo has only done approx 2k

I am getting one of Garrett's new GTX 500+ turbos

If you are interested PM me.

Thanks for that.
I sell two 05 20 Gs depending on your spec. HS2714P and HS2814P.
Both are £850 plus £12.50 overnight delivery or we fit for a fixed £50 here in Darlington. Both turbos have uprated wastegate actuators and ported exhaust inlet. I will include uppipe and downpie gaskets while I have stock of these.
Although some customers have rolling road graphs wellover 400 bhp I state these are 380 bhp turbos and actual output will depend on supporting mods.
I also have 18G turbos, uprated actuators and ported exhaust inlet. Two turbos subject to 2 litre or 2.5 litre. Will include gaskets. Same delivery and fitting as above. £725.
All turbos are warranted for 12 months subject to proper fitting and operation.

VF35 is a great turbo. Minimallly slower spool up than TD04, but far more mid / top end grunt.

When I was having my last Scoob remapped with a Vf35 and supporting mods, the mapper gave me a courtesy car which had a Vf 35 and also a 2.5 bottom end. I couldn,t detect any lag at all, just instant response. When I got my car back I felt that the Vf35 which worked very good with my 2 Litre was even better with the 2.5 engine. Steve.

VF35 generally 340 bhp capable and VF34 about 360 to put it into perspective.
