Setting up some winter tyres that I can use all year if I have to but mainly Oct to March. Want to combine with 18 rims so I have been looking at Nokian WRG2's has anyone used these over the winter or even all year if so any feedback or other recommendations? Also is £147 a tyre a good price for these?
Thanks
Thanks

Used wrg2's from end of oct until last week
brilliant in the snow, ice, slush, rain and cold roads below 7c
Terrible on dry roads 10c+ completely ripped to bits with chunks missing.
Paid £86 each before the snow bumped to £190 in a single day!(and then £212 the day after that!)

Vredestein Quatrac All Season. I don't know if they are available in your size but try Click on Tyres. These will be cheaper to buy during the summer than at present so delay purchase unless you need a set now.
They transform your grip and driving ability on snow and ice.

i agree with the above ^.
in summer by and 2nd set of alloys cheap off ebay and a good set of winter rubber.
con t830 on cheap £100 seat ebay wheels the stopping power on snow is crazy and when it warms up they are easy to swap back over

This is my 3rd winter with WRG2s on the GT-B and they are brilliant. I paid just under £90 each but they will be more in 18".
They are fantastic in snow and slush, but also on ice and even on cold wet roads. They are fine in the dry so long as the temp is cold (below 7°c). I still have mine on due to a wheel situation and I wouldn't recommend their use in summer.
I have been in all sorts of wintry conditions with them over the last three years, including 10-12" of snow on Dartmoor just before christmas and I was unstoppable with these and the subaru AWD.
