That's right, front bumper, grill, rear spoiler and the wheels are different plus the skirts are colour coded and I'm sure they were black like mine (555)
Personally with those changes I wouldn't pay that, I paid £3k for my 555 a few months ago and it was virtually standard.

that car confuses me cos it has the roof flap and looks like pre facelift which idicates its either a 555 or a v limited but the v limited would have been 1 of 555 and if it were a 555 then it would not be numbered (they only made 500 and they were not numbered). He says its no 822 which would point towards a wrx v limited which where 1/1000 but they didnt have a roof vent - so what is it!?

afaiaa the only ltd/ special edition V2 STi was the 555 (& they weren't 'plaqued')
The only ltd edition V2 STi RA was the v-ltd. (came with plaque/ badge)
Both (confusingly) in 53c.
The car in the ebay link is a 555 ...& you could probably get it back to 'standard' (visually at least) for £3-500 (wheels, grille, bumper, low spoiler are all fairly common parts on fleabay)

what a lovely car it is as well, i thought about buying it before you got it but couldn't shift my old car, hope you get what you want for it as it's definately worth it.

Not sure about that! If you look closely at the rear picture it has the plaque on the boot below the round badge! Somebody needs to as him for a better rear picture of the boot or the applied model code!

Look even closer at where his aerial is/ isn't
