Boost controller is ok for a moderate increase in boost, but when you start doing things like decat, different intercoolers, then a remap is necessary.
I'm sounding like a parrot saying remap so much, but regardless of whether you came to me, or any other tuner, the best all round £/bhp value for money is a remap.
It looks like you have face lift classic, what year is it?

If it's a pre 98 then no a straight reflash on the original ECU isn't possible. Changing to an Apexi FC ecu or pre 96 can have an ESL daughterboard fitted.

EcuTek is the type of software used to access the original ECU to remap. That's the only software that can do your year of car. Usually cost is £550+vat. Well worth it in terms of performance enhancement vs cost. If you can find yourself a second hand Apexi for £200-400 then I can map it for £225, which comes out around the same cost as an EcuTek map.

apexi is pretty old tech now, also retains the MAF, simtek dumps the MAF which is worth it if only for that if your replacing the ecu itself. dont forget you still have to get it mapped and the cost of the simtek isn't a hgue amount more onced fitted and mapped.

Maf's on Classics are fragile & should be replaced once a year approx. With Simtek you can go Maf-less but with the Apexi you can use the Infinity Q45 Maf which you can pick up from ebay USA for approx £70. This Maf is very robust & will not need changing every year.
