Default Cat or no cat

Seeing as i have the light on and its the cat so now my thoughts are onto, should i loose the cat altgether or not

Its the second cat by the way and am i right in thinking that it will still be legal for mot with it removed

I will also gain a few horses

Been looking at this

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Subaru-Impreza...item5d2dc596fe

Anyone else lost there cat and was it worth it

Views please

Hi there if you remove second cat,you will pass MOT without problem, because you have fitted standard downpipe which have cat...
About BHP,without remap maybe little, but with proper remap you will see difference...
if you want more power i would recommend sport cat with decated downpipe and after this go on remap and you will see difference for sure.

Hi Ian you have at moment straight through center pipe or what?If you have at moment fitted straight through center pipe without cat, don't brother with this center pipe.
If you are now running 330bhp,i think you have decated full exhaust or just you have sport cat.

At the moment, i have Magnex Cat back Exhaust, Both cats still in place and are Prodrive items. I intend to replace the Second cat with the Decat for more improvememnts (BHP)

I would say leave Prodrive downpipe(this downpipe is sport cat if its Prodrive),and center pipe replace with Cobra center pipe, you have probably 2.5" and replace with 2.5" Cobra center pipe/2nd DeCat pipe...
Will be improvement and maybe some ponies as well
