Default Finally got an sti

Well after having a spot of bad luck lately and having to part with my wrx's things are on the up, Put a deposit down today on a mint classic sti Was also lucky with the price and it's completely standard It was advertised as an Impreza turbo 2000 which is what it states on the logbook and seems to of been priced as such, Can't wait to pick it up and bring it home Here is the link to the ad as I have no pics of my own currently http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2554706.htm

Looks a nice car mate, just a few things puzzling me. Is it for definate an sti ,because any garage worth there salt would know the difference between a wrx/uk turbo and a sti . Have you got the chasis code as it could be a uk turbo with sti spoilers, wheels, seats, clocks, bumpers, even engine(if your lucky). .
It is hard to see from the pictures, what side the wipers/lights are on & unless I am mistaken sti s came with climate control not STD aircon & had numbers round the temp dial, which I don't think your has.
Hopefully you might have got a real steal , but most garages don't make expensive mistakes like that, so you might be lucky.

100% mate, I checked before I left the deposit "GF8D5ED 300 WRX STi3" Is what it comes up as, It's completely standard, Even the exhaust and it pulls much better than my old wrx, First thing is to get it on the rolling road I think, It's an easy mistake to make if you don't know your Subaru's, There are so many variations plus the logbook was not filled out correctly when it was imported so they probably just looked up the info via the logbook details.

Hells bells, Awesome mate, awesome

Pie, (short for pikey) As we're both gonna be driving our silver wagons (obviously I had mine first, so I am senior) how about we go driving about together?

We could meet up somewhere half-way between Wales and your 'site' in Portsmouth... how about Malta?

It'll be a laff, we can bomb about, and go to macdonalds etc?
