Default Which clutch?

Which clutch would you recommend for a 95 wrx wagon running about 280.
The Mrs drives the car a lot so nothing heavy or bitey, it never gets launched also don't want to pay more than I have to.
Cheers.

Check Aztec Performance. Stage one clutch £270, or standard roughly £170, i think.

For under 300bhp one of these will be fine, no point spending more than you need to:

Exedy Organic 230mm Clutch Kit - £187.99

What is the going rate for fitting one? I've fitted one on a mates forester before and can't be arsed with doing another but if its silly money I will have to.

Anything from £100 (mobile mechanic) to the more typical £200 garage price.

Don't take this the wrong way but is this clutch the same as advertised on the bay for £150 ?

I now see the difference, 5mm.
Does the 230 take more power than the 225, what are they rated at?

I would go for a 230mm version, bigger the better. Good for 300bhp.

In saying that, ours are genuine Exedy UK Clutches, not like some ebay gems that fall apart after a few miles.

I'm guessing that the standard clutch measures 225mm, now if I fit a 230mm does this mean I will definitely need my flywheel skimming?

Only early classics use the 225mm.

If your clutch is slipping, chances are the flywheel will need skimming anyhow.
