Default Powerstation in Tewkesbury

A couple of question about Powerstation. I have heard nothing but good things about this place and would just like to know if the prices are worth the service.

Unfortunately they dont have prices online but I am wanting to get a service, wheel alignment and new tyres. Will I be ok doing all of this at Powerstation?

Im happy to pay for a good service etc but dont want to be ripped off. Anyone care to comment on their experiences with them?

Thank you

Been using Powerstation for years,Customer service can be a little better but apart from that. You could try also try Litchfield imports, not that far from PS.

Their work is good.. customer service less so. Which is a shame really.

Its was Toyo T1R's. They said they only sell Toyo's. aanted the Vredsteins initailly but I needed it all done at once so no real choice. Atleast the Toyo's are a nice tyre.

That's about right then as each tyre costs £130.

If you want a professional, enthusiast's style company... with the work carried out by polite like minded people who love Subaru's and working on them..use Litchfields

If your not bothered about all that..then use Powerstation.

I called in (by accident) looking for Litchfield Motors... I walked out with zero directions, zero phone number, zero interest.... and all the time I was there, they were bitching about a client who was unhappy about a job they had done....
A previous re-map by them (back in 2003) was pretty dull too...

I'd use Ian anyday over PS imho obviously

They were good once, seems to be all about making money now. Hourly rate is a bit steep IMHO But hey main dealers are a lot worse

Do they bollox ! £79 from camskill and £10 a corner fitting is £89 all day long

You haven't been ripped but you've paid through the nose by about £70+ IMHO

Bearing in mind what they can buy Toyos in for (apparently exclusively ?), you were a healthy transaction Vredesteins are £115 fitted which would have been bang on the money

Forgive me if this is discussed in another thread, but just seen Powerstation appear to be no longer trading.

Quoted directly from their website:
"Due to unforeseen circumstances PowerStation UK Ltd. has closed.
However, the exceptionally well equipped workshop
(including MAHA 4WD Dyno Cell) is available to lease."

Any idea when this happened?

Still amazes me how they seemed to work on high end cars and charge a lot yet let themselves go pop ?

High end cars tend to mean high end costs, not enough work in, company goes under. Unless of course it was a scam job.

Looks like they have reopened, now as Plum Crazy Performance:

"Formed in 1998 by Dirk Hale and Rich Benton and recently incorporated within Plum Crazy Performance"

My last experience with them was pretty poor when it was Power Station. Reviews will be key to their current business.

The only issue I had there was with Rich the owner. Rude and uninterested.

Dyno days held there were always excellent though!
