ive looked into the sti but the running costs insurance etc is a bit too high.. i asked the dealer if it had been mapped an he said he didnt know. so im guessing it hasnt unless when i look through the history i find a recipt. would it need mapping with just being de-catted an a filter??

looks nice but for that money i would look at a sti.
if you get the wrx and then remap it ,you still got to tell insurance company and i bet in the end would have been cheaper to get the sti.

Ive had both WRX and now got STi and STi is worth the extra plus if you want high 300+ bhp 6 speed box if safer and that alone is 2k. Its also got better suspension and brakes and if you think you will end up doing this to a WRX just go the STi route.

looks good dude that is some real low mileage.
as far as i know the car should be fine with out the map but will run 10x better with it mate but i would ditch the filter and put a air box back on with a good element

how old are you now? if the main reason is insurance then you may just have to wait and settle for the WRX for now, but even that you're going to love after the type R and although they may not have as much potential as an STi, they still have more to be squeezed out of them.

for 5-6k id be looking at a bug eye sti. an although there are awsome cars there just not my cup of tea. why is there such a divide on bov`s? i thought they were a must on turbo charged cars??
