215/40/17 lowered might get rubbing with 225/40/17 if lowered , a mates has 225 and it handles like a bag of turd thrown out of a corsa doing 80mph . tramlines like a biatch

Madscoob is right, Had Toyo's on my Classic and worked out to be a great allrounder, and not to bad on the millage as long as you alternate front to rear! There are cheaper alternative but you get wot you pay for and driven hard they can eat tyres, Good Luck.

I had the same wheels on my classic and i opted for 225/45/17 tyres as i got 4 at a price i just could not say no to. The are fine at the front, but when heavy cornering you can hear them rubbing on the suspension turret,so have opted to go back to 205/45/17 tyres as were fitted to the P1 & RB5,which i pick up in the morning.

A lot of classic owners who have newage wheels fitted tend to go for either 215/45/17(std wrx fitment) or 215/40/17
