Default Re-Upholstering Problems

Hi, I have owned my first Subaru, an Impreza 2.0 AWD Sport for a couple of months and have now sorted the exterior. I want to get a full retrim in orange and black vinyl but I have come across a problem.

The front bucket seats have glue on covers! AArgh, what this basically means is that they cannot be recovered. My question is, are there any Subaru front seats I can buy second hand that are not glued but fixed with rings in the traditional manner?

Alternatively are there any other seats I can buy that will fit my Subaru?

Thanks

You can fit any after market bucket seat they are universal you then buy the specific subfram for your car and the seats bolt to the frames and the frames bolt to all your existing mounts

peel it off very gently as ive done mine and what you do is use 4oz polyester wadding on wings only(availible from upholstery suppliers) and dont reglue fabric to the wings etc just the centre sections and this poly fills the unevenness of the pealed foam and if recover is done well it'll fit like a glove and wrinkless as ive seen so called professional vinyl and leather refurbs and theyre shockingly wrinkly, ive been an upholsterer for 14years and my dad/boss 40years and done quite a few seats now

As said above you have to peel the old covers off.

Mine had that done and replaced with leather.

The problem is peeling the old covers off without removing great chunks of foam. I have spoken to two car upholsterers and they both say it cant be done! If you know of any car upholsterers in the South West of England who can do this, please let me know.
