Petrol syphoning?
What's the quickest and easiest way to petrol out of a car...especially if it's dark?

Use a battery drill and drill a hole in the bottom of the tank.
Why you asking?

Thought most cars had something in the filler pipe to stop them being syphoned off?

No that is out of the question.
I have a car with about 1/3 of a tank of petrol that has been stood for over a year so the petrol is gonna be stale.
I need to get it out and poor it down the drain (or take it to the tip, or burn it...not sure what to do with it).

Pour it over a caravan at your local traveller site.

Light a wood fire in your garden. Rake up all the dry fallen leaves. Dump on the petrol a bit at a time. Watch the leaves and your eyebrows go whoosh

Petrol has been in the tank since I imported it from Australia.

Should be easy enough to pop up the fuel plate cover.
Oh actually, I did it once on a Skyline and remember having to unbolt the back seat as it was inbetween that and the boot. Thats was on a 4 door model though.

I had the same problem on a Golf I owned a few years ago.
Would not recommend putting down the drain as it's a huge fine if you get caught.
I took the feed pipe of the fuel filter and put it in a container then gave fuel pump a 12 volt feed. Emptied the tank in about 8 minutes from about a quarter.
My battery had already been removed or I would of just turned the ignition on.

Sounds like your, a) in a rush, b) somebody elses car, c) during the night when there is less people about

To be honest mate I don't know as I did not use the pump after that. Would think that priming it after it went dry would be hard though.
