Jap Performance parts, Birmingham.
Am i right in thinking these Guys are the cowboys? Basically im looking at a 2001wrx. he claims the engine was rebuilt in dec 2010 by jap performance birmingham.
Now i no about the dodgy company in birmingham, but all i can find is jap auto parts, Not jap performance.
So does anybody know the Jap Performance guys?
Thanks

If it's Birmingham it more than likely the same company that so say rebuilt my dads engine.
They put a wrx lump in, legacy heads and a knackered sti turbo on it.
The only thing good with japerformanceparts is going down there, looking through there car boot sell of stuff. There will be lots of stuff you want. Laughing at their prices. For example £250 for sti v6 splitter - brand new £175 from Subaru. And then waving cash at them when you find something you want.
If you don't believe me, ask them if you can see their compound when you go down there.
There cars are junk and they want top whack for them.
Sorry for the rant but as you can imagine, they've wasted my time on several occasions.
On the plus side, i got a really nice OEM Subaru badge from them for only £10

I'm sure the Birmingham people said they had links with jpp.
It's def japerformanceparts.co.uk based down near croydon that i've had all the bumper problems with and ridiculous jump in prices when ordering other things.
I have managed to buy things from them that have been hard to get hold of but at a very high price. This is just my experience though.
