Question my mpg, that cant be right, can it??

i all ways read on here about different peoples bad mpg and the cost of fuel etc etc.

i have never worked out my mpg on my scoob, but today i thought i would try.

most of my driving is to the shops and back and prob 2x 20 miles for a longer run each week (driving 20 miles before stopping each way on m/way)

I have the odd foot flat down moment, but the mrs and little one and in the car mith me most of the time, so it is low boost granny style.

and as i have done a couple of mods to my car i didnt think that was to bad, or am i missing something here??

I got 24.82 mpg

sounds about what i get on short journeys etc
best ive had is 27mpg on a long journey (350miles odd)

infact im averaging 20mpg looking at a spreadsheet i keep lol
i had been doing alot of short journeys which kill mpg (and turbos probs :P ), so im walking alot now

and i know someones gonna say it, you dont buy a scoob for good mpg
but its nice to know that yer cars using around the same as other peoples and not just drinking it for the sake of it

Sounds right to me. Mine is 24mpg just doing my work run at 40mph and below, LOL.
More on a run down the motorway and of course less when you boot it.

Track use 6 mpg.

Current tankful is 21 mpg

Average since 2002 is 23 mpg

Best figure on a motorway run, 31 mpg

My worst is on the Ring, just over a quarter of a tank on each lap

The 2.1 500bhp engine is using a lot more fuel than the 450bhp 2.5 did...so dread what it will be like this year over there
