Default Trackers. are they really needed now ?

£140 this year for my tracker...

Is it really needed to keep insurance companys happy? does it still make a differnace in price with insurance.

The cosworth era has long gone with joy riders.

i would'nt like to have my car taken....but

crazy insurance companies, my policy was £800 more 3rd party as opposed to 3rd party fire and theft, which muppet decided on that?!

most insurances don't demand it now i wonder why

I also disconnected the aerial and power lead, as althogh you don't subscribe they still log and record the signal.

if you've a serious accident which is not you fault better to have this recorded signal it could prove you were a driving angel ange you off

I have pay my tracker subscription to give me peace of mind that I'll get my car back if it gets stolen not just to keep my insurance premium down

I had one on my first subaru but never paid for a subscription. iirc the insurance company asked for the certificate but not of it was activated.

If my car was stolen I would rather find the car burnt out with the thieving barstewards still inside than have the car back.

Ask a 10 year old from Liverpool and he'll take you straight to it

If they were that good Insurance companies would DEMAND them (like they did 5-10 years ago)

I bought my car 3 years ago, and struggled to get a decent quote without the tracker. I got one fitted, and after the first year the tracker people offered me a lifetime policy for £210. So i did. The yearly subscription was £120, every year, so it's paid of itself now. No more fees.

i am insured with directline, it was cheaper to fit and subscribe and insure myself with directline with a tracker than insuring myself elsewhere, they insist that its activated otherwise i am not covered for theft, like many on here if my car gets stolen i dont want it back but i do want paying out for it so its a must for me.
