Default Bubbling on A pillar

Afternoon all,

Pretty new to this game!

I've seen that often people mention rust on the A pillar being an issue on the older classics, particularly the JDM ones where the ariel is mounted there.
Has anyone got any experience of having this problem sorted on their car?
If so, was it a major job, and how much did it set you back?

cheers,

Mark.

Any pics? You might have to take the screen out to do it properly which is the main problem.

I've got a couple of pics on my phone but cant' post them up at the moment.

from looking at it, i suspect it will be a screen out job. looks like it goes just under the screen seal.

You might be lucky and find a bodyshop that can take the screen out in one piece, do the work and re-fit. Failing that you'll need to find a sympathetic glass company who'll fit a new one on your insurance.

No point in not taking it out and doing a half job.

I agree re no point in doing a half job...

I can get the screen out with no problem (i reckon)... it's always the refitting where it goes wrong for me!

just curious as to how much it's likely to set me back if i get it done...
