Default Should I sell car or bits it. Or maybe keep her.

I'm thinking of selling my scoob and getting a newage.

Should I sell it complete or bits it which would be a shame as it's a very late 51 plate classic
Or should I keep it and get and sti 8 conversion done.
Any advice

Im interested in the brakes and rear anti-roll bar if you sell the bits mate and you could have my brakes/anti-roll bar to go back on to sell it after
Oh and love the colour but im biased!!

You think.
If I was to keep her I'll be doing an sti 8 conversion next year with a six speed box. That would be around £3000 to £4000. Money I'll never get back. I could maybe go for an Sti 7 and have change. This wouldn't be until next year though which is the hard bit having to wait.

Buy an STi 7 and rob all the bits you need and then break the rest

Your wagons a keeper I'd choose classic everytime !

if you get a new age get a import due to the car tax classes,,,, no point buying a car when you get stuck with almost 400 quid car tax each year,,,,,, when a import is 200 quid

go for the engine build. STI 8/9 bottom end, 6 speed box and a MD series turbo. You wont regret it fella.

sell yours complete to me lol and then buy an sti7 or newer with the engine and gearbox already in it, think about it with the cost of buying and fitting the box and engine you can but a nice sti7 or at a push i would of thought a 03/04 sti and with the sale of your car you have funds to mod the newage sti. you could get a 2.1 conversion and a few supporting mods for 4k and have a beast of a car.

i would sell and buy if it were me but pls dont split yours as it looks a peach and too many are getting split nowadays

best of luck

How much time have you in a new age?

They're a very different feel to a classic - it's like having 3 extra blokes in the car with the added weight

Edit: 'course, as others (& yourself) have said, you would never see that engine money again...

I'd keep the wagon and do some work on it. I would literally do a full swap, looms and all, to make use of the AVCS etc available on the newer engines. Great wagon you have there

Right, I'm going to sell the brakes. As i've had alot of interest i'm going to take sealed bids via pm. If you want them get you bids in. They have done 475 miles from new with ds2500 pads.

Well all the people that say they want them haven't come up with any offers so I'll be looking for £4000 for the complete car if nothing happens by the weekend.

I was going to sell the ap's and put a set of Brembo's on so there's not as much cash sat in her then keep her. To be honest I'd rather the money sitting in the main family car and not my toy.

So if there's no offers on the brakes I'll sell the whole car and buy a cheaper toy and put the extra cash to getting a bigger and better family car.

If no bites by the weekend i'll put up an ad in the for sale section.
