Default Brake ****

Had a delivery today . Thanks to Alyn as ASP Trading to and Frayz for doing a great job machining the pads to kit the AP bells. It's the 355mm kit with CP7040 calipers. Being fitted this weekend by Bulldog Twyford.

Time to set some new stopping distances for the highway code

You're going to be re-cycled in to me, bud.

Nice job by Frayz with Matt black finish on the machined area

Anders, long time no see !

AP's the way to go

Just make sure you dont use any undiluted wheel cleaner, it will take the black paint off the calipers, especially Autosmart smart wheel cleaner

Hi Martin,

Been on the list a while, I'll probably do the rears too

Good tip on the wheel cleaner, it's Wonder wheels I've been using probably as bad as all the others for chemicals.

Need to catch up with you lot in the summer. I heard you had an engine conversion

I've got the same calipers myself along with Godspeed two part discs and EBC Bluestuff NDX brake pads and they make for a very good brake setup.

It's amazing how well and quickly they stop you and are the best modification you can fit, money very well spent.

'Powerstation' do the brake conversion that is on my car. Its about £2200 all in but im sure if you call Dirk he could source you some brackets if you have the calipers.

Wonder wheels used to corrode the prodrive centre caps

I did, but it went let go at Brunters, So gone back to standard unit.

A few going to McRae Gathering in June a few spaces left on the WR1
slot.

Nice set up too. I looked at the Porsche set up the last time I was at Powerstation but wasn't sure on the 'Pagid' pads I'd never heard of, lol.

Now my favourite pad

Nothing like some sexy brakes and the epic stopping power, unlike my shocking looking standard set up

Did you use any wheel spacers to clear the calipers front or rear?

Here's a pic of the first proper test of the EBC Bluestuff NDX pads fitted to my AP 6 pots. It was obviously taken at night after a real blast over the A4069 Black Mountains road in the Brecon Beacons National Park.

The Godspeed discs didn't warp or suffer from any problems after this abuse, and that's why I wouldn't fit anything else.
