Default HELP please

I cant start my car! its a 2001 bug wrx standard sigma alarm/imo, recently its stopped making noises ie alarm not going off, so i phoned subaru direct for the code but they said as it was working before they doubt it will be the code and more likly a siren problem, so last night i took the siren of stripped it and it was v corroded on the board inside, gave it a soft brush plugged it in but nothing, tried the speaker unit on my stereo and it works, so anyway it got a bit dark so i called it a night, pressed the button and it locked indicators flashed etc etc, just came to it now and the fob locks/unlocks but the lights dont flash, and it wont start! it wont turn over so it obv imobiliser problem ( or not if some-one were to try to nick it lol ) so i dont know if iv blown a fuse for it ( where would they be?) or something more serious? ive wired it back up but no joy......please help

Oh dear. Ideally try the override code (which it sounds like you don't have ) to see if you can start it then. Worst case you've probably shorted something out while fiddling around in the dark, may need to get an alarm specialist to look at it.

This is a real pain in the A## had the same problem on one of mine with the sigma alarm.

I take it its cutting the fuel pump causing the car not to start.

Run a temporary live to the fuel pump and that will get you moving again.
I ran a temp wire to mine and when i removed it a few weeks later the car run ok again??

i had the exact same problem,
i eventually ripped the sigma alarm out and replaced with something more up to date.
doesnt have to be an expensive alarm as long as it has all the features as the previous

The alarm ecu is behind the glove box or above the pedals they are fitted in either place. The fuse is probably behind the code pad but not sure?

Have a look here this may help with a few things:

http://www.scouk.net/subaru-impreza/..._m30_codes.pdf

Is it cutting the starter motor and the fuel pump.

Do you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key.

Is the stereo, lights etc working ok.

If you have low voltage your alarm will not like it. Dont be fooled by your battery i replaced a battery later to find it was the alternator at fault so may be worth testing that.

hia pal i cant hear the fuel pump priming just been out now and tried it, but for some reason my keypad isnt lighting when i press the numbers? something is major wrong i think...
to summarise
Blue keyfob unlocks/locks no problem
the indicators arnt flashing anymore,
the keypad led isnt flashing when i press numbers,
the clock/stereo dash lights all come on,
the pump doesnt prime,

thing is its my own fault for trying to make the siren work! lol
just to add last night when i was testing it i left the bonnet up with the siren on my intercooler and armed it, when it activated the siren was "ticking" with the indicators decided it was to late to be messing put it back together, locked the car with the fob and it flashed and locked, went to work in the missus car and when i got back from work thought i would give it a start up, unlocked it, no flashes and it wont start?
the siren isnt "ticking" any more niether but i think thats cos its not flashing?

also the red led next to the clock isnt flashing or even coming on, think it needs ripping out and a new system installing, which means its sat there till payday.
