key question

Default key question

one of my keys have been eaten by my dog a while ago. didnt realize untill i found the other one in his mouth recently. iv been doing some reading up on new keys and i know i need a a piece of metal with a number on it to get keys replaced but i dont have it. any idea on prices of new keys???

I think it depends on your car , I've got a 2004 sti key was £144 + £24 to change facia + £37.50 labour/programming + vat just over = £240 from a main dealer.

05 sti mate. that doesnt sound two bad. u get two keys or does your old one still work??? gonna ring tomorrow to book in for a service but wanted a rough price before i started hagling. cheers

that's for one key mate , when i brought my car the guy I brought it off only had one key so I got a spare. That was last year before the VAT hike.

ok mate cheers. need to get one realy. the one i have left is hanging on for dear life after my dog got hold of it.

I bought one for my 06 Sti car in Dec 2010, cost £290 inc. cutting and programming etc.

It makes me happy to know that as the driver of a jdm newage I'm spared these sort if costs and that my bit of metal probably costs 20 quid!

another jdm here €6 for a spare key , chipped one s from dealer should only be in the £150 mark imho .
