Default Could someone explain new-age decats to me?

My plan was to fit an all new s/s system to my new-age but as i quite like the pro-drive back box it came with i'm now thinking maybe a decat pipe? Would i be right in saying there are two CATs on this car? one on the downpipes and one further back?

Hi there you have at least two CATS on WRX,one in downpipe and one in Up pipe, and some have one in center pipe.

Here is diagram of Subaru exhaust
The diagram below shows the location (1), (2) and (3), of all CATs in new age car

I'm quite interested in this too, how many of the CATs do you need to keep in the system to still pass the MOT? As it does seem rather overkill to have 3 :s

Mate a cat-back system is from the cat (1) back. So would only come with a (going by the above picture) rear exhaust pipe and muffler. Hope that helps.
