I had the same issues mate

The banging would normally be on the gearbox/engine mount can't remember what one, if you take the ic off right in the centre of the bulk head you should see the metal sticking out, all I done was knocked it Down as it makes no difference,

The undertray will not fit unless you mod the height and fixing holes,

New undertray from same yr as intercooler required to then be adapted to suit the classic bonnet/mounting holes

and of course, the scoop to suit LOL

This is the bit (pic borrowed from the net) i had to "manipulate" to get the TMIC to sit properly and not hit/rub/vibrate when engine moved etc

As said, there is alot involved to get it to fit, where the dumpvalve goes on the TMIC is welded, but you can get cover plates instead, which is easier/cheaper.

The throttle body has also been shortened, where the outlet meets the TMIC to allow fitment as it would be very very tight against the bulkhead

If thats not put you off,go for it LOL

How did you manage to get the intercooler lying that low and flat? Mine will not go down - keeps hitting something?

Also what pipe did you use for dump valve return and did the turbo hose fit as mine is short?

its the part of the bulk head thats pictured above stopping it from lying flat, you will need the samco turbo hose, and also i used some samco superflex hose to fit to dump valve.

if you mean the hose that fits to the turbo you will need to purchase the my99-00 samco turbo y hose, when you fit it to the intercooler you will need to use your oe my99-00 intercooler cast ports.
when the samco turbo pipe is fitted you wont push it all the way over the cast ports,do the jubilee clips up about quater of an inch short of the rigde on both ports.(if that makes any sense.)
ill try find some pics as i have a good guide somewhere mate.
