Hi there folks, just after a bit of advice i have a 53 plate blob eye sti with PPP an ecu-tek remap to 340bhp. i have just fitted a full kakimoto racing exhaust xs power dumpvalve rs turbo timer and the car was running good. now i have fitted a 2 stage electronic greddy boost contoller and the idling is funny. could this be a vaccum leak? do i need to tee in the old solenoid or jusy disconnect it? if i leave it wired in the management lights off but i disconnected it and the light came on.

Can anyone Help me with this please?

Hi matey don't use any boost controller on your new age,boost controller are used mostly on classic or if you want go on New age impreza more boost as usual(OE ECU can control boost up to 1.5-1.7bar with some hack more)..
But i think in your tune is useless and if i go for Boost controller best bet will be AVC-R,because AVC-R have boost target per gear and i don't think Greddy have this function.

Get car mapped properly(EcuTek or OS tune) and you will much safer than with boost controller and will be cheaper on longer run,rebuild engine or turbo is not cheap.


Who told you are need boost controller?

took it off my wagon and fitted it in the idle problem has gone had a vaccum leak. its a 2 stage controller. was going to set the low for 1 bar and high around 1.4bar. just used it as i had it sitting there. whats the recommended boost top end yoy think thats safe?
